Adult Sunday School

Tates Creek Presbyterian Church ministers to the adults during the weekly Sunday school hour by offering a choice of at least four different classes per quarter. The class choices generally consist of an in-depth study of a book of the Bible, a class on Christian theology, and a class on practical Christian living. A video series by a well-known speaker such as R.C. Sproul is offered often.

Also, two year-round life-stage specific class has been formed. The aim of these classes is to build community among those in similar life stages and to reach out to guests and new members in similar life stages. These classes are designed for discipleship of its members.

The primary goals of our adult Sunday school program are to educate, to inspire, and to fellowship. The relationships developed within our Sunday school classes are important to sustain Christian growth.

One of the classes offered is the Bridge Class. This is an adult Sunday school class that meets year round. The class entails a time of fellowship, singing, and teaching. The focus is learning from God’s Word, welcoming new people, building relationships with the body of Christ at Tates Creek, and plugging people into other areas of the church. This class offers ample opportunities for outside fellowship as well.
