FellowshipThe church is amazingly the BODY of Christ, made up of many individual parts. The Word of God makes it abundantly clear that there is no such thing as an isolated Christian. Jesus came to save not merely individuals, but a Body, a people, the church. She is His bride and His temple. This is why the early church was so powerfully connected; this is why the apostles emphasized so strongly the “one another” exhortations to the believers; this is why we desire here at Tates Creek Presbyterian Church to be a community of faith, a communion of the saints. To accomplish this we have divided the congregation
into folds, each of which is headed by an elder/deacon team. The primary
purpose of these folds is shepherding - to help care for the needs and
nurture the individuals within the fold emotionally, physically and spiritually
through prayer, visitation, personal contact and social events. Furthermore, we desire to accomplish this through a growing number of bible study groups within the body: retreats; fun/fellowship evenings; picnics and mutually shared ministries. It is our desire to see all people connected with TCPC be actively involved in some type of bible study/prayer group, ministry/service opportunities and fold as well as church wide opportunities for fun and fellowship.
